Service
Designing for MVP
Tarbee is a mobile application designed to motivate Quran memorization students through engaging interactive quizzes, addressing challenges of motivation and consistency in their memorization journey.
The Challange
Lack of motivation, difficulty maintaining consistency, monotonous memorization methods, and limited ways to self-test their memorization. Low motivation can lead to students discontinuing their memorization efforts or becoming less productive, thus hindering their memorization goals.
The Solution
Tarbee offers an innovative solution that transforms the Quran memorization process into a more engaging and motivating experience.
About Project
As part of my portfolio, Tarbee is a significant ongoing project where I'm collaborating with my partner, Hamam (Mobile Developer). We're working for clients, Alfamuslim, and this project is divided into several strategic milestones. We've successfully concluded the first milestone by delivering the complete UI/UX for MVP. We are now actively engaged in the second milestone, focusing on the crucial mobile app development phase. The project's third milestone will involve the creation of a Learning Management System (LMS) and specialized applications for teachers and parents.
Timeline
Our journey with Tarbee has been a dynamic one, unfolding in distinct phases. We began by meticulously crafting the user experience and interface, setting the stage for what was to come.
Our adventure began in May (2025). This was the month where we immersed ourselves in understanding the hearts and minds of Quran memorizers. We painstakingly designed every screen, every button, and every interaction to ensure Tarbee would be not just functional, but truly intuitive and delightful. Think of this as laying the groundwork, sketching the blueprint, and choosing the vibrant colors for our digital masterpiece. The UI/UX was our first big step, setting the aesthetic and functional tone for the entire application.
Just as the UI/UX was finalized, we immediately shifted gears into the exciting world of mobile development, starting in April (2025). This is where the magic truly happens, transforming those beautiful designs into a living, breathing application. This phase is projected to span approximately 2.5 months, during which Hamam diligently coding, building, and refining every feature.

Tarbee’s key features

Tarbee Users: A Story of Dedicated Memorizers

Imagine Sarah, a bright high school student enrolled in a local madrasah. When school is out for holidays or she's at home on a study day, her commitment to Quran memorization doesn't wane. That's where Tarbee steps in. Sarah logs onto the app, dives into interactive quizzes for Juz 29 and 30 (her current focus), and diligently earns points. Her teachers, even from a distance, can see her consistent effort and progress, knowing she's actively reinforcing her hifz.
Then there's Ahmad, a university student balancing his demanding studies with his passion for the Quran. He's striving to perfect his memorization of Juz 26-28. For Ahmad, Tarbee's premium packages offer the focused, in-depth practice he needs. He uses the app to test himself, identify weaker areas, and ensure his memorization remains strong, even when he can't attend a physical tahfidz class.
Tarbee is built for individuals like Sarah and Ahmad – students in madrasahs or pesantren, dedicated members of tahfidz communities, and diligent self-learners. We cater to their specific needs by offering accessible free packages for the commonly memorized Juz 29-30, and premium options for the deeper, more advanced Juz 26-28. Our goal is to seamlessly integrate into their routines, providing a reliable, motivating, and verifiable tool for Quran memorization, whether they're in a classroom or at home.
